Hayley orrantia was born in America. She's primarily an actor, however she is also a singer and songwriter. People are familiar with her because of her role in the role of Erica Goldberg on the popular show on television 'The Goldbergs.' She is primarily a performer. Music is her first love she claims; it's something she's dabbled in since she was only 9 years old. By the time she turned 12 years old, music was important enough to start training professionally. As a teenager, she started writing herself songs. Her first cover album wasn't released until 14 years after. There hasn't been a turning back since. Orrantia was raised in the USA and yet she has Hispanic roots. Although she was raised speaking solely English and was never in Mexico she's extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. She strives to maintain it through becoming fluent in Spanish as well as writing songs using the Spanish language. One of her songs was an original Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the premiere episode of The X Factor. Orrantia had been chosen by a panel of YouTube videos and got the four "yeses," from judges in Seattle during live audition phase. Her initial audition was for solo performance, however, during "Hollywood week" she was placed with three other female vocalists to form a trio during remaining auditions. The live shows were held in the fifth week.
